SEAT RELIED IN 023 TO PRESENT ITS MOST AMBITIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT12/11/2013
At 023 we have had the privilege to behold in person a very special project: SEAT al Sol, the world’s largest installation of solar panels in the automotive industry.
The film we made was to present, yesterday November the 11th, this ambitious project to the national press, which echoed the news in the mainstream media of the country.
At a conceptual level, we focused on one of the fundamental laws of physics – “energy is not created or destroyed, only transformed” – and we proposed a script in which SEAT al Sol was that great transformer that converts all the natural, clean and renewable sun energy you need to power a factory every day. The video production shows us this feedback between nature and industry as a natural coexistence beneficial for everyone. The final scene in the film visually reinforces that transition, when the sun sets and a LED light from the new León lights up.
As for the technical challenge, helicopter shots allowed us to grasp the immensity of the 53,000 solar panels installed on the factory and Seat’s roof in Martorell, which cover an area equivalent to 40 football fields. We combined this shooting with images from an octopter, that allowed us to get very suggestive and risky shots to get a truly bird’s eye experience.
Here’s the result. Welcome to SEAT al Sol.
