HP VERSUS COMPETITORS, FIRST CORPORATE “MINI WEB SERIES”?01/08/2013
Truth is, we don’t really know what to call it… Mini-web-series? Mini-ad-clips? 023 has made 9 episodes, one minute duration each, in which we see how Hewlett Packard’s Designjet printers are measured against their competitors in an… unusual way. Two characters are testing the abilities their printers have to carry out the most common day-to-day tasks. The result is often comic, though in some occasions (with all due respect) we feel bad for the rival. We do put him in a tight spot…
In this first (first?) season we will see how an HP printer can perform autonomously many more tasks than competitors’ printers can, without needing a computer connected. The competitor user starts losing his composure as the HP user shows him features that his printer doesn’t have, like an USB connection so we can print directly from a flash drive. Or how easy it is to print from your mobile device or send it by email, even if you are out of the office.
We also see that HP Desingjet printers are designed with a better usability for the human body, beating in ergonomics all other rival printers, which leave the users a little sore after each printing session.
And finally we also show some of the most appreciated features by users, like the printer’s ink efficiency, its ability to interpret complex language like HP-GL/2, the integrated large-format scanner, or the two paper rolls that switch automatically.
They say comparisons are odious, but probably just for the one that winds up losing, right?
