HP 3D PRINTING AND 023 AT FORMNEXT 201618/11/2016
This week 023 has been at Formnext 2016 in Frankfurt, Germany, helping the HP 3D Printing team present their revolutionary 3D printing technology to thousands of business leaders from the additive manufacturing industry.
With close to 10,000 visitors in attendance, and featuring stands from every major 3D printing company in the world, Formnext 2016 was the perfect platform for HP 3D Printing to present their MultiJet Fusion 3D printing technology, which leverages their proprietary PageWide technology to print moving 3D parts faster than any other solution on the market.
As HP 3D Printing’s audiovisual partner, 023’s job was to create a show for Formnext 2016 that was as powerful and exciting as the technology it presented.
HP 3D PRINTING AND 023: THE NEXT CHAPTER
Following on from the audiovisual production we created for HP 3D Printing at RAPID 3D Event in Orlando, Florida, earlier this year, 023 were charged with creating a similar experience that would thrill visitors to the HP stand at Formnext 2016.
Just as at RAPID, the experience took the form of a 20-minute theatre show that introduced HP 3D Printing technology to an audience of up to 50 people at a time. With one show taking place every hour across the four days of the conference, 023’s team of producers and audiovisual engineers worked around the clock to make the HP 3D Printing show the most talked about audiovisual event at Formnext 2016.
But our creative work began long before Formnext 2016, when we gathered together a team of scriptwriters, art directors, 3D designers, post-production specialists and engineers to create the show’s content. Our objective was simple: to take the viewers on an immersive journey through HP 3D Printing technology, from the processes taking place on a molecular level to a vision of the future whose implications are so great they can only be glimpsed today.
Including the best of what we created for RAPID, plus brand new content created especially for Formnext 2016, the HP 3D Printing theatre show incorporated 3D animations, interviews with HP engineers, a dynamic speaker, lighting, music, a theatre set and a 9m LED screen that was by far the largest screen at the conference. It took just one walk around the conference hall to see that the show was the only one of its kind at Formnext 2016.
3D printing has been heralded as the third industrial revolution, and after Formnext 2016 there can be no doubt that HP 3D Printing intends to lead that revolution from the front. At 023, we can only say that we’re honoured to be along for the ride.
