Awareness campaign video for Institutos Odontológicos & Asindown
BRINGING VISIBILITY TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
This project originated from a brilliant idea by the communication agency Dinamarka: why not bring together the Institutos Odontológicos network of dentistry clinics, which was seeking new ways to deepen its social impact, with Asindown, an NGO that supports people with learning disabilities by helping them improve their quality of life and promoting their inclusion in society?
From this meeting arose the happy initiative to employ people with learning disabilities in IO teams around Spain. The video we have produced shines a light on this project and brings visibility to people like Ana, who makes people visiting her IO clinic smile every day.
This project was 100% about the shoot. The video’s protagonists were not professional actors: they were the footballer Pedri González from FC Barcelona, and the shining new member of the IO team, Ana, who has an intellectual disability that is not visible yet obliges her to give her best every single day.
We designed a production team and art direction, led by director Irene Miranda, that would make both our protagonists shine, while focusing all our efforts on ensuring Pedri and Ana felt comfortable and relaxed in front of the cameras.
The result is a touching video that reveals the solidarity and friendship between two people that – although they have different qualities and skills – share the same goal of giving their best in their work, and their life.
