Virtual Press Announcement to launch the new SEAT Ibiza and SEAT Arona

SHOWCASE SEAT’S NEWEST MODELS TO THE WORLD’S PRESS

Think.
When SEAT asked us to conceptualize, script, and produce a virtual press announcement (in other words, a worldwide digital premiere) to announce the new SEAT Ibiza and SEAT Arona in just four weeks, we knew we would be racing against the clock. But at 023, we love nothing more than a challenge. We said: “We’re in!”, put our foot on the gas, and got to work.

Create.
In less than a fortnight, we pitched, scripted, and storyboarded a 10-minute virtual press announcement that would take us on a journey through iconic locations in Barcelona before arriving at CASA SEAT and being transported to a mysterious, underground garage to meet the new SEAT Ibiza and SEAT Arona. Working in parallel, our art direction, motion graphics, and CGI teams developed the look and feel of the event, from the typography to the garage architecture.

Produce.
With a 20-person production team, we shot the event on location in Barcelona, at CASA SEAT, and on a large film set with a 12m LED screen and green screen backdrop. After filming wrapped, we had just days to edit and post-produce the final event video before it was broadcast live on YouTube and seen by thousands of journalists worldwide.
